Easter is one of my favorite holidays of the year. And, as a Christian, I think it such an amazing event in our History we can celebrate Christ, our risen King and Savior. Talk about a real reason to REJOICE! Saturday night, Ken came in from standing outside on my parents' deck, and said... "I was just imagining what this night must have felt like for the apostles. Here Jesus has just died, their hope has been shattered, and the grief and disappointment must have been huge." And yet we all know that come Easter Sunday, that hope was and is restored!!! I am so thankful to have the hope of Christ, and be married to Ken who shares in that as well. We had a great Easter. The kids didn't make it through all of church, so unfortunately we weren't able to stay for the whole thing, but we were touched to have Nana (Ken's Mom) with us. She knows sign lanuage and it was incredibly beautiful to watch her signing the lyrics to some of the worship songs we were singing. After church, we headed out to the Aunt MJ's house at the lake where we had a full & fun time visiting with family, ate a delicious Easter dinner, and chased after the kids. ;) Here's a slideshow of pics of our time with family...
