The last 3 weeks in pics

My my, how did 3.5 weeks just fly by without a blog post?!  We took an end-of-Summer hike over on the coast, visited family over Labor Day weekend, have been gearing up for school, and then just getting into the swing of things once we got back.  Forget my lame summary, here are the past few weeks in pics! :)
Adventures with our make-shift red barron plane out of cardboard.  Thank you pinterest for this fun idea! :)

Mags helping install our new (free from craigslist!) factory CD player for the car to replace the tape deck we had.  5 minute project & truly, music to my ears - couldn't resist the cheeseball comment.

View from our drive to the coast on our most recent hike with the kids over by Florence, OR.

Ready to go.  And a pink bat to ward off any predators.  Just kidding - he's really been into baseball lately.

Ken with Jack & Mags on the Sweet Creek trail.  AMAZING & so much fun!  It was the best family hike & so, totally do-able for little ones!  Beautiful scenery at every turn, right from the start!

...and fun places to take a dip and play in the water on the flat rocks...

more along the trail at Sweet Creek

Ken even joined a group of college age kids who were jumping into this fun waterfall pool.  You should have seen the ear-to-ear smile on his face after doing this a handful of times!

Play time at home while we learn about dinosaurs.  I loved how Jack lined all the babies up behind the "parents"... so cute!

Visiting my dear grandmother, Gommie, and letting the kids have time to give her hugs & keep her smiling with their silly expressions and endless energy - I sure love my grandma & have such special memories with her.  Some of my best childhood memories are with she & my Papa up at their float house on Lake CDA in the Summer when I was little.

While "home" we got to spend time swimming - which of course the kids always love!  Too bad we don't do this more often.  Hence the floaties.

I loved how determined Logan was to join in with his siblings and jump off the edge too - his eyes almost say, "You're going to catch me Daddy, right?" :)

Look at the joy!  Love Summer!

All EIGHT Boggs' side grandkids together:  Jack (5), Maggie (4), Logan (15 mos), Courtney (11), Mayra (4 mos), Kaitlyn (13), Katy (2.5), & Ben (4)

Ken, his Dad, and his brother, Pete with Mags Logan, Katy & Ben

Celebrating birthdays with buddies... Maggie & her best friend down here, Anna Irwin.  They got matching shirts & are so cute to watch together!  I love their friendship!

We celebrated Ken's sister, Holly, getting engaged to Doug - love them together & can't wait for their wedding next month!

My cousin, Leah, Gommie, Maggie & I down at my Grandma's place in Pullman

Property for sale along our drive that we have been dreaming of.  Can't you picture a wide gravel drive between those two beautiful trees, a home shortly thereafter on the flat part, and a vinyard planted on the hillside behind?  That's what we see every time we drive by and swoon.  6 acres for sale by owner.  Only a mere $200k for the land.  Shoot, we just need to clean out our couch change & we're all set!  Isn't it fun to dream, though?? :) :)

Jack had such a blast with all his cousins over the weekend.  I love his playful personality & sweet heart - he even kissed Maggie's hand while they were crossing the parking lot together with me today getting groceries!  He loves this shirt because it's red..  his favorite color. :)

Hope you all are having a stellar start to your Fall!  This is my absolute favorite season.  I'm already lighting candles, making soups & homemade bread, enjoying that certain something in the air where you just know Fall is here, and watching the colors start to change.  And add in college football, the fun of school starting, routines, and cozy nights at home as it starts to hit dusk seemingly right after dinner these days... and anyone else out there looking forward to cooler weather to wear clothes that just feel comfortable & hide more? ;)  I've got both hands up in the air saying, "Yes Please!  Oh Fall, you are so wonderful, let me count the ways!" :)
