Change?

About 3 years ago, we purchased the home we currently live in. It initially was intended to be an investment fixer, but became the home we ended up living in after all. We spent the better portion of the first 7 months renovating - it needed it, big time. Then, it wouldn't sell fast enough & we were faced with 2 mortgage payments, stress and the looming dark cloud of wondering what would come next. As always, God's timing is perfect & we were able to sell our old home quickly and move in here. After moving in, we've worked on additional projects and it's finally done. We have really enjoyed living here - especially for the close proximity to Manito park and Ken's work. We have spent the last several months finishing up house projects to have it market-ready, knowing we wanted to try and sell it this summer. Both Ken & I are excited for whatever God has for us, and are prayerfully hoping the house will sell quickly. It's on the market now and though the housing sitch in town is very slow and looks rather dim on the horizon, God is bigger than it all & if it's mean to sell, it will. If not, then we get to stay in a house that is fully finished & don't have to pack boxes! ;) As for what's next --- we won't even venture to go there as it seems every time we try to answer that, things change. Two verses have come to mind many 'a time lately that I know are gentle reminders from our loving Lord; Proverbs 27:1 says, "Do not boast about tomorrow for you do not know what a day may bring forth." and what has become my life verse from my early Christian years on, is Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Clinging to those Truths and others, we are stepping forward in faith and trusting that God will open doors where He wants us to walk. Both Ken & I feel the Lord leading us to change, but how that will look or play out, only He knows! Ken interviewed for a research & development position with a local genetic company where he potentially could use a lot of his gifts and strengths if he is offered the job. Bartending for Ken has been a great ministry for the past 6 years, but we are both feeling like it is time to invest elsewhere. Again, we don't know what that means specifically, but with the interview having gone well & the house now on the market, we are hopeful (and of course prayerful above all) that change of some kind would be imminent. Whatever we do, we want God directing our steps and leading the way. If you are at all inclined to pray for us, we appreciate your prayers more than you'll ever know. Stay tuned for an update on the job/housing sitch soon...

We would be honored to pray for your family! Love those two verses! They were a gift to me today.
