She's Almost One: Video Tribute

Maggie turns 1 on Saturday, and with both kids, we put together little photo videos to celebrate their first year. We can't believe how fast the time has flown, and more importantly, how much she's grown & changed in the blink of an eye. Really, it does feel "just like yesterday" when we were heading to the hospital and then holding her just hours later. She is a joy, and has been a perfect gift from God to add to this family. She is the best mix of things - she is affectionate and a total snuggler, has an inner joy that makes her whole body smile when she does, a light in her eyes that flashes when she's excited, a wonderful sense of play and curiosity, an easy-going temperament, all-girl-attitude, she's tougher than all-get out & can withstand the affections and roughness of her 2 year old big brother, and has just an overall sweet, tender love that makes her wonderfully, Maggie. In the past two weeks, she has turned a major corner as far as development goes: she is able to stand, gets wherever she wants to go with a modified crawl/scoot-combo, can walk holding on to furniture or someone's hand, crawls up stairs and is in to EVERYTHING! She has definitely moved from spectator to participant in life and it is a blessing to watch her discover life. Stay tuned for pics from her first birthday!
