This has been one of the craziest, most exciting weeks for change for us. Ken was offered a position with a local laboratory company called, Signature Genomics. The quick story behind this, is that it was a company Ken interviewed with about 2 months ago - was offered the job, but turned the offer down. That was the right decision for us at the time, because since then, we have been busier than all getout with having our house for sale & showing it regularly. Then, completely out of the blue, he received a call from the HR manager at Signature offering him the same position at better pay. We prayed about it and both felt like this was completely of the Lord; there really is no other explanation for it. Ken will be working in the manufacturing laboratory working on micro-array DNA chips. Signature Genomics is a company that does the genetic testing (almost exclusively) in town and is one of 4 companies in the country that specialize in the manufacturing of these chips. Ken gets to utilize his strengths and passion for BioChemistry/Cellular Biology, and get to be a part of a really dynamic team there. The added bonus for all of us, is that he will now have a NORMAL schedule!!! :) M-F, 8-5. We are really looking forward to having dinners together as a family and more time as a couple too. It will be interesting to see how we all do with the transition from having Daddy around all day and gone nights, to only seeing him in the evenings/weekends.... but we fully are leaning on God's grace to adjust and also trust that this is the direction He'd have us go. Ken starts his new job on Oct. 6th. He intends to keep working one or two nights a week at the Two Seven (pub) just to transition easier and we can always scale back or eliminate that job all together if that works out down the road. In the meantime, we are all just stoked & totally excited for this opportunity and big change! :)

Congratulations!! I am so excited for you all & this next step of your journey. My friend Emily has worked for Signature for 4+ years now & loves the company & the work she gets to do. Hopefully Ken will love it too. We'll be praying for you & look forward to hearing about how the transition goes.
