Jack & I walking at the park

We have been mega stoked to see the sunshine & warmer temps hit the Spokane area. The past few days have been glorious--- yep, that's really the best word to describe the gift of beautiful Spring weather up here. You can tell everyone in town is kind of a' buzz about it - you can't help but want to enjoy it when we've had a long (and I might add, drab/ugly) winter like we have had. Last night, I packed a picnic dinner to take to the park when Ken got home. We walked down to Manito and enjoyed dinner outside with the kids and a really refreshing walk to/from with the kids. LOVE that we live close to a fantastic park we can enjoy on nice days. We are gearin' up for Easter and always look forward to celebrating this incredible holiday as followers of Christ! We have some family traditions that we look forward to (usually a big Easter brunch with relatives) and just enjoying one another and especially, the reason we're celebrating. Though I admit, I get caught up in much of the unimportant (but fun) aspects too -- like, what the kids are going to wear. hahah. Speaking of, my Mom helped me make a dress for Mags & I am pretty fired up about the prospect of sewing projects down the road! The pattern we used was rated, "VERY EASY" but let me tell you, for someone like myself, it was anything but. Without my Mom's help, I totally would have been cutting out pieces of fabric that never made it into anything closely resembling a dress. We're almost done - just shy two buttons. We're looking forward to church in the morning, then heading to Pullman to do brunch with my Grandma and extended family who live there. Happy Easter to you all and we pray you can celebrate Christ risen & be with loved ones. :) Much love from us 4... hugs!!!
