Jack loves his new search & rescue computer game - his buddies, Caleb & Isaac, taught him how to use the mouse & play the game & now he wants to do it all the time! :)

I can't believe it - Jack is FOUR! Whoa, other parents aren't kiddin' when they shake their heads looking back on the years and tell ya how fast the time goes with kids. No kidding!!

He is turning into such a great little guy! (Not that he hasn't always been!!) - but we see growth and maturity happening, and believe me, when you're comin' out of some rough toddler stages, that is a huge blessing & encouragement! He is such a love and awesome big brother to Mags. He's quick to check and make sure she is right there with us next to the cart (if she isn't sitting in it) when we're at the store, misses her when she has to nap, he gives the best hugs & (we're working on the open-mouthed) kisses to relatives. haha. Just yesterday he was helping me bake cookies in the kitchen, and I let him try a bite & he exclaimed, "mmmm Mama, that's delicious!" (never mind the only ingredients at that point were butter & honey) HA! We are so proud of who he's becomming and the heart changes happening even in these early childhood years. He's a sharp little guy, that's for sure - can point out different kinds of tractors that all look the same to me (grader/bulldozer/backhoe/wheel loader/excavator/ect.), notices directions when we're driving, is massively into trains and can tell ya all about the Thomas engines ;) He is such a gift to us and an absolute joy in our lives! Oh how we love him & that depth just keeps on growing day by day as we are blessed to be with him & raise him!!

He's standing next to me now asking to play his new computer game, so that's my cue to hurry up and post this. Not only do I have less time to blog/email it seems, but I also have to compete for computer time now with Jack! :)

Happy Birthday, Jack Attack, we love you! (Oh, and if you wondered -- we didn't do a big party this year - in fact, we haven't even had a family party yet) I know it's shameful, especially when I know it will be important to make sure his birthday is differentiated from Christmas being just 3 days earlier. Next year will (hopefully) mark the start of memorable birthdays for him! :) Ken took Monday off & we took Jack & Maggie to Jump n' Bounce) to celebrate, then home for ice cream. Fun family afternoon for sure! :)
