Guess who just turned one over the weekend? Yep. Logan hit the 1 year mark on Friday (May 27th). Ken's parents came down for the weekend to visit and were here to celebrate. Everything was low-key... dinner at home, but so much fun! He utterly LOVES berries of all kinds - strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries - he literally will drop anything else in his hand if he knows the above mentioned are comin'. So, to honor that, we went for fresh strawberries over vanilla coconut bliss ice cream as his birthday treat. What Mom gives their one year old ice cream when they haven't yet learned how to hold a spoon?? ;) Now I know. ;) haha. It made for a lot of laughs & fun once he had the melted ice cream mess to clap and splat on his tray. Logan is such a joy-baby. Super easy, laid back personality, loves to make us laugh, and you can tell he enjoys people and snuggling in. He's getting great with his balance and it won't be long before he's tootling around chasing after Jack & Mags. I have more to post about the super fun weekend with Ken's parents here, but I wanted this post to just be on Loges for now. Two tid bits that make him extra unique: he has a tiny freckle between his big & 2nd toe, and a hemangeoma birth mark on the inside of his left forearm. I melt every time I see his little dimple on the right cheek when he smiles, and his laugh is the groveliest, cutest sound I've ever heard! .... he's sportin' 6 teeth, loves to eat (and boy can that kid eat! -- did you see the pic of him on my Mom's lap in the last post? That was post-breakfast.) ;), he's super playful and jets to the stairs and/or the bathrooms as a game I think he gets a kick out of but yet would rather be held to give hugs and snuggle if he has the choice. We are so thankful God brought you to us, little Loges, we love you to no end!!

oh yes, the dimple is so cute! happy FIRST birthday to logan!!! sounds like he had a great time with the ice cream!:) i loved getting to look back on the pictures of jack and maggie with him in the hospital! and, i have to admit, i am a little jealous of the laid back baby. ;)
