Little Jack Boggs
On the run after we tell him not to take Lane's truck
All boy
Fall is on the way!
Here we are at Labor Day already!! Where did our summer go? And I mean that not just because the time has flown, but I think everyone in town is wondering what happened to the summer weather too? It feels like Fall is coming early. Take yesterday for instance: the last day in AUGUST!! (where most of you are scorching from the Southern heat waves), and I open the front door to take Jack outside only to be greeted by the thermostat reading 40 degrees!!! Nippy city. The day before, we were in tank tops. Ya gotta love those huge swings that happen in the NW! ;) The kids are pretty much over their colds, and we're all doing well. We have had a mega busy weekend with showing the house. It's kinda crazy; interest seems to come in waves. Needless to say, most of our weekend has been spent cleaning and cleaning and cleaning some more (because the house can be spotless for one showing, the kids come back inside & it gets undone in an hour - then another call comes with people wanting to take a look, and it's back to cleaning again: we just have to laugh!), but despite that stuff, we've had some fun visits to the park & grandparents houses, and tonight we're looking forward to having friends over for dinner. I have some pics here of Jack playing outside yesterday morning in our crisp, Fall weather. He loves to go over and "borrow" Lane's (3 year old next door) cool trucks. Lane is such a little sweetheart & so is his Mom, so they are gracious to share toys, but Ken & I have been trying to curb Jack's frequent visits over because we can't open the door without Jack running there first thing! Also, that is Ken's hat you'll see Jack wearing. Even though he's only 2, he's got a monster noggin' and his size 4/5T hat from last winter is way too snug. Oh boy!! ;) haha. That big head of his holds all those smart brains God gave him! :) Love to you all this Labor Day weekend...
